Pawe³ Smolenski Jury Chairman
reporter and journalist, since 1989 at Gazeta Wyborcza, before that wrote for independent newspapers. His works: The Crisis Generation (The Literary Institute in Paris), "Gazeta Wyborcza" — the Mirror of Democracy (Noir sur Blanc), Hall of Patriots (Rytm), Funeral for a Tough Guy (Czarne), Iraq. Hell in Paradise (Swiat Ksiazki, Czarne), Israel Ceased Flying (Czarne), Bedzies wisiol za cosik. Godki podhalanskie (Znak), Big Mess. The Israeli Alphabet (Agora). More than ten of his reports were run by Paris-based "Kultura". Winner for the Award of Polish-Ukrainian Reconciliation in 2003 for his book Funeral for a Tough Guy and the Kurt Schork Award for his stories on Iraq. In 2006, he received the Beata Pawlak Award for his collection of reports, "Israel Ceased Flying". He lives in Warsaw.




Ewa Opawska
A philosophy graduate at the University of Warsaw, works at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews since 2009. For two years, she co-created the project "Polish Righteous - Restoring Remembrance", currently works at the Cultural Projects Departments and coordinates the museum cinema. The author of the drama "Unexploded" about the Holocaust.




Anna-Wac³awik-Orpik
A radio reporter, works at Radio TOK FM since 2008 She runs a weekly program "In-Depth Interview" and an art program "Andymateria" with Anda Rottenberg. Winner of two Grand Press awards in the Interview category (2011, 2012). Author of a collection of interviews "Life - Head-on Collision (Carta Blanca, 2013) and an extended interview "Priest Wojciech Lemanski. Flesh, Bone and Faith" (Agora, 2013).
