Jury of the 10th edition of Warsaw Jewish Film Festival 2012

2012 Jury Members:

ANDRZEJ SERDIUKOW Jury Chairman  

A well-known producer and film distributor who has been active in the film industry for 35 years. For many years he had worked for Telewizja Polska TVP where he had been in charge of theatre and film production, and between years 2000 and 2005 he was the Director of the Film Agency. He was the producer and co-producer of many films awarded at film festivals all over the world, such as: “The Pianist” by Roman Polański, “Quo Vadis” by Jerzy Kawalerowicz, “The revange” by Andrzej Wajda, “Mój Nikifor” by Krzysztof Krauze, “The collector” by Feliks Falk, “Reverse” by Borys Lankosz and “Essential killing” by Jerzy Skolimowski. He was the President and Programme Director of a well- known production and distribution company SYRENA FILMS. At present he is the Chief Executive Officer of the company FILM POINT GROUP, the publisher of the magazine FILM. Andrzej Serdiukow is a member of European Film Academy.



WILFRIED AGRICOLA de COLOGNE, multimedia artist, film director, creator of Shoah Film Collection.  

German interdisciplinary media artist, the director of experimental shortfilms, their producer, editor as well as composer of music. Since 2000 his media art projects and films/videos have participated in more than 450 media exhibitions and festivals around the globe and received numerous prizes and awards. Agricola de Cologne is the founder and curator of [NewMediaArtprojectNetwork]]| cologne – the experimental platform for art and new media.



ANDRZEJ KOSTENKO, author of cinematography  

Polish director, screenwriter, cameraman and producer of short features and documentaries. He graduated from the National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in łódĽ. He collaborated with Roman Polański e.g. on his debut film “Knife in the water” and some of Polanski’s short films. He worked as a cameraman for Andrzej Wajda, wrote screenplays with Jerzy Skolimowski and made many short films. He worked on TV serials, for example: “Hela w opałach”, “Bulionerzy”, “Lokatorzy”. Andrzej Kostenko was given, for example, the Award for the Best Documentary Film at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as well as the Golden Bear at Berlinale Film Festival.



MAGDALENA WALIGÓRSKA, actress  

Polish theatre and film actress. She graduated from National Higher Theatre School in Wrocław in 2007. She played in many films and serials, e.g. in the film: “The Pianist” by Roman Polański and in serials: “Klan”, “Na dobre i na złe”, “Ranczo” and “Plebania”.
